BI Specialist - turn healthcare data into better care decisions
Would you like to develop and deliver data-driven solutions for critical healthcare systems in Danish municipalities? As a BI Specialist, you'll work with the entire BI solution, from customer dialogue to implementation and support. Sounds exciting? Apply now!
The job
As a BI Specialist, you'll join the department responsible for the Cura BI solution. More than 30 municipalities use the solution to gain insights from elder care and social care data, budget and invoice home-care activities, and validate data sent to Statistics Denmark (DST). We're a small, close-knit team where you have real co-determination and influence over how our solutions develop.
As our new colleague in Columna Cura, you'll take on a broad role in the continued development of our SaaS-based BI solution, which is built on data from the Cura EHR system (an ERP-like system). You'll work with a complete Microsoft technology stack and engage with both backend and frontend. You can look forward to:
Taking co-responsibility for the continued development of the BI solution end to end, from requirements specification with customers to back- and frontend development, quality assurance, and implementation
Having dialogue with customers and colleagues about further development of solutions and requirements
Responding to customer enquiries and BI-related questions
You must be able to communicate in both Danish and English, spoken and written.
Joining the team
In our team, we work with only three releases a year. This gives you a predictable daily routine and the opportunity to delve deeply into our solutions. It's naturally busy at times, but the rhythm leaves room for both professional immersion and life outside of work. The team is part of Cura Projects & Service, where we ensure successful implementation projects and deliver services as needed. Read more about our Columna Cura portfolio here.
Your qualifications
We're looking for a technical profile with experience from the BI world. You have a couple of years' experience in a similar position, and your educational background could be a master's degree in healthcare technology, Cand.Merc. (BI), IT Product Development, Information Science, or similar.
You have knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, covering Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and DAX. It's an advantage if you have worked with Targit before, but it's not a demand.
You're excited to take on a broad role covering both frontend and backend of our BI solutions, developing into a BI Swiss Army knife. With more than 10 years behind us, we've built a complex solution, so there's ample opportunity to dive into the technology and work with advanced BI challenges.
Healthcare domain knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement. However, a desire to work with healthcare data and build knowledge of the domain is essential to succeed in this role.
As a person, you are:
Thorough and detail-oriented - you don't leave things until they're properly worked through
Reliable and conscientious - people can count on things being done right, not just fast
Good at listening and building relationships, taking the time to understand what the customer actually needs before shaping the solution
Calm by nature and take things at your own pace, including when it comes to getting to grips with new and complex material
Motivated by making a real difference for others through good collaboration and a steady, persistent work effort
We don't expect you to master every part of this from day one. You'll be onboarded gradually, paired with experienced colleagues, and given time to grow into the full scope of the role. What matters most is your willingness to learn and your interest in the domain.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years, as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
