This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for visual storytelling, digital construction, and translating complex delivery strategies into clear, compelling motion. You will turn programs and design information into visual narratives that show clients exactly how we will build their project — stage-by-stage, risk-aware, and achievable. Key Requirements Core Skill Set The ability to work as part of a team and extracting accurate, high-quality information from all bid stakeholders leading to the production of a comprehensive bid Appreciation of clients and their associated client drivers is beneficial Ability to design and lead collaborative writing workshops Development of case studies and documentation based on quantified evidence Appreciation of how AI can aid proposal development Experience Knowledge of major construction projects, architectural and engineering drawings and document processes Experience in writing bid responses and developing good quality bids is beneficial Education Bachelor’s degree level education equivalent to EQF Level 6 preferred, however other educational backgrounds will be considered As a member of the bid team, you will be required to have an open and adaptable approach to developing solutions, together with excellent communication and collaboration skills. We need people who can distil complex engineering concepts into plain English in a logical way with our customers in mind. You will be a key member of the bid team, shaping winning responses. You will organise and facilitate writing processes and present high-quality content for review The role will be based in our Copenhagen Office in Høje Taastrup 2630, working within bid management, in the preconstruction department, supporting projects across the European region Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager, the Bid Writer will be responsible for developing the proposal structure and technical content, with responsibilities outlined, but not limited to the below: Develop and finalise high quality bid responses to meet the deadlines of the bid The ability to work as part of a team and to get accurate high-quality information from all bid stakeholders leading to the production of a comprehensive bid response is essential Comply with proposals development process, bid management standard operating procedure and programme defined by the bid lead Ability to review, extract and summarise bid documentation and seek clarification and Attend all workshops and meetings as requested by the bid lead Establish a thorough understanding of client objectives and tailor responses to resonate with the clients values and goals for the project Organize and facilitate collaborative writing workshops with section owners, contributors and other relevant people Collaborate with section owners to develop technical responses by others, including reviewing grammatically and proofreading text to ensure compliance with company governance and procedures, complying with the bid programme In collaboration with the graphics team, produce high quality response graphical responses. Assist when needed with the production of presentations and other written material, internal team handovers and all supporting documentation, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach Integrate review comments into the developing responses Finalise bid responses by the programme deadlines Contribute to the development of case studies and documents associated with work winning in collaboration with the wider preconstruction business unit. Complete project, framework, or business/function case studies as requested. This may require site visits and visits to other offices. Assist other offices, completing bids when workload in region allows Understanding what Collen offers Understand what differentiates Collen. Keep up to date with developments and innovations across the company and integrate the latest thinking into bid responses Develop case studies, and a library of useful information to express what is great about Collen Other duties Complete work for other ad hoc requests to support the region, as agreed with line manager Contribute to any post bid lessons learned exercises Other requirements Strong written and spoken English communication skills Additional language skills, including Danish, Swedish, Finnish, or another European language, would be beneficial.
