Big Data Analyst on Decathlon's internal data team in Warsaw: partnering with business departments to turn large datasets into insights, automate reporting, and build data workflows. Core stack is SQL and Databricks, with Python and Google Apps Script; onsite for the first 3 months, then remote possible.
We are looking for an ambitious Big Data Analyst to join our team, help automate business processes, and build modern reports and data workflows. If you have a solid grasp of SQL, hands-on experience with Google Apps Script, and an eagerness to learn Python and extract actionable insights from large datasets – this is the role for you!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Acting as a strategic business partner by translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business value and support executive decision-making,
- Identifying trends, patterns and anomalies within large datasets to derive strategic conclusions,
- Taking end-to-end ownership of data solutions: from consulting with various departments to understand their needs, to delivering impactful, data-driven products,
- Working daily within a modern cloud ecosystem, leveraging Databricks to seamlessly query, manipulate, and transform large-scale datasets,
- Actively exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance data analysis, automate reporting workflows, and maximize operational efficiency,
- Maintaining and enhancing existing data solutions and implementing changes to meet evolving business needs,

- You possess the ability to manipulate, transform, and analyze large datasets, delivering clear and impactful results,
- You have experience in translating business questions into analytical problems and then building data-driven tools and solutions that directly address those challenges and support business processes,
- You are a strong team player who prioritizes understanding client needs and delivering valuable analytical solutions,
- You possess strong practical skills in SQL, allowing you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively,
- You possess strong presentation skills, sharing the results of your work with clarity. You naturally guide non-technical stakeholders through data and business analyses,
- You are willing to learn and contribute to the team,
- You are self-organized with attention to detail,
- You have a foundational understanding of Python,
- You can communicate effectively in English.

- Familiarity with dbt platform,
- Familiarity with Google Apps Script
