Summary
Hybrid cloud-platform engineering role for an IT consultancy's client: design, deploy and scale AWS infrastructure, automate with Terraform IaC, run Docker/ECS workloads, build GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, and automate with Python and SQL. 3 days/week on-site in Madrid's Four Towers area, paying 60-65k EUR.
What are we looking for?
- Strong experience designing, deploying, and scaling AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, performance, and security across production environments.
- Deep expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and cloud governance.
- Proven hands‑on experience with Docker, containerized workloads, and orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS, with Kubernetes (EKS) knowledge considered a strong plus.
- Solid background building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, enabling fast, reliable, and automated software delivery.
- Advanced understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, load balancers, and routing configurations.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities with Python, combined with experience developing operational tools, automating workflows, and improving platform efficiency.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries to support platform operations, data analysis, monitoring, and performance improvements.
- Ownership of security, compliance, and cloud best practices, ensuring infrastructure aligns with cybersecurity requirements, data protection standards, and operational excellence.
- Ability to translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions, proactively identifying improvements and driving infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Strong collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills, working effectively with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams while taking end-to-end ownership of cloud platforms and DevOps processes.
