Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java / Big Data Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, ETL, Big Data and Data Warehousing.

The ideal candidate should have a strong software engineering foundation along with experience building or supporting data processing pipelines and working with large-scale data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data engineering and data processing solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and processing.
• Work with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka or similar technologies.
• Develop efficient and complex SQL queries for data processing and analysis.
• Work with Data Warehousing concepts, data models and large-scale datasets.
• Build scalable and reliable data processing applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, data and business teams to understand requirements and deliver production-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application/data pipeline performance.
• Participate in design, development, testing, deployment and production support activities.

Mandatory Skills

• 4+ years of relevant software/data engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with ETL / Data Pipelines / Data Engineering.
• Experience with one or more Big Data technologies, preferably Spark, Hadoop, Hive or Kafka.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Exposure to Data Warehousing / Data Warehouse concepts.
• Good understanding of software development and production environments.
