Bilingual Debt Collector – English/Spanish

Buffalo, NY | Full-Time | $18.00/Hour + Commission

Capital Management Services (CMS) is expanding our third-party collections team and is looking for motivated, results-driven Bilingual Debt Collectors who are fluent in both English and Spanish.

This is a performance-driven collections position where you will communicate with consumers regarding delinquent accounts, negotiate payment solutions, and work to resolve outstanding balances.

We are looking for people who are confident communicators, comfortable discussing financial obligations, and motivated by individual performance and earning potential.

What You'll Do

As a Bilingual Debt Collector, you will:

• Make outbound calls regarding delinquent accounts
• Handle inbound calls from consumers in both English and Spanish
• Discuss outstanding balances and available resolution options
• Negotiate payments and payment arrangements within established guidelines
• Ask effective questions to understand the consumer's situation and identify appropriate solutions
• Overcome objections and work toward account resolution
• Secure payment commitments and accurately document arrangements
• Process payments in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain accurate and detailed account notes
• Follow up on payment commitments and assigned accounts
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented call center environment
• Meet individual collection, productivity, and quality expectations
• Maintain professionalism during challenging financial conversations
• Follow all company policies, client requirements, and applicable collection regulations

What We're Looking For

• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Previous third-party collections experience preferred, but not required
• Call center, sales, financial services, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
• Comfortable discussing outstanding balances and requesting payment
• Strong communication and active-listening skills
• Goal-oriented and motivated by measurable performance
• Ability to remain professional during difficult conversations
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
• Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail

Candidates with a background in sales or other performance-based environments are encouraged to apply even without previous collections experience.

Compensation

• $18.00/hour starting wage for bilingual collectors
• Commission opportunity in addition to base pay
• $150 sign-on bonus after 60 days of employment
• Paid training
• Performance-based earning potential
