Job Summary
Join our team as a Bilingual Teaching Assistant to support students in Chinese, English, and Mathematics, helping them build confidence and independent learning skills through clear bilingual instruction and progress monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Assist in teaching Chinese, English, and Mathematics to students, ensuring clear understanding of concepts
- Explain academic concepts and provide translations in both Chinese and English to support non-Chinese-speaking students
- Mark worksheets accurately and monitor students’ progress to provide targeted guidance
- Encourage students to develop independent learning habits, confidence, and effective study routines
- Manage classroom activities to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Support daily centre operations and assist with other teaching and administrative tasks as needed
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in Chinese and English with the ability to communicate and explain concepts clearly in both languages
- Patient and responsible with a passion for working with children
- Comfortable guiding students of varying ages and learning abilities
- Willingness to support multiple subjects including Chinese, English, and Mathematics
- Positive attitude, effective communication skills, and eagerness to learn
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is advantageous but not mandatory
🕒 Working Schedule
Position: Part-time
Working / Class hours:
Monday and Thursday: 230pm–8pm, Tuesday: 330pm-6pm, Saturday: 930am–1pm
