Bilingual Parent Support Provider
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The SafeCare® Program aims to increase family stability, strengthen parenting skills and prevent child abuse and neglect through home visitation. Parent Support Providers deliver home-based education and support to families with young children aged birth to five. SafeCare® is a structured program, with specific protocols that include observational assessment, modeling, role-playing, and providing constructive feedback to families.
The SafeCare® Program at Family Tree operates in Adams and Jefferson counties. Based on the current needs of our program, this position will primarily serve Adams County.
Example Activities
Home Visiting:
- Complete initial enrollment calls/texts to families referred to SafeCare®
- Deliver SafeCare® curriculum to families, consistently meeting fidelity standards of the SafeCare® model
- Participate in team meetings, coaching and supervision regularly
- Complete 10-12 home visits per week
- Upload session audio recordings, home visit assessments and data on a regular basis
- Maintain a full, engaged caseload
- Assist program participants with referrals to community resources, benefits acquisition, life skills and increased social supports
Marketing & Outreach:
Due to the voluntary nature of the SafeCare® program, marketing and outreach are crucial for maintaining a strong referral base and continuous referrals to the program.
- Identify agencies within the community that serve clients who may benefit from SafeCare® and facilitate the agency’s ability to provide referrals to SafeCare®
- Participate in outreach efforts (giving presentations, attending conferences, handing out fliers, meeting with ground level staff, etc.)
- Maintain regular contact with community partners throughout the year
