BIM C&S Engineer
Summary
Coordinates civil and structural (C&S) engineering and BIM workflows for infrastructure projects like MRT stations and tunnels, using Revit, Tekla, Navisworks, and Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support C&S coordination for infrastructure and building works, including underground structures, MRT station works, tunnels, retaining walls, reinforced concrete, precast and steel structures.
- Review and coordinate C&S drawings, BIM models, GA drawings, rebar drawings, shop drawings and construction documentation.
- Carry out BIM-based clash detection and coordination between structural, architectural, MEP, civil, temporary works and construction teams.
- Prepare, review and manage C&S BIM models using software such as Revit, Tekla, Navisworks, Civil 3D and BIM360.
- Support BIM Execution Plan, VDC workflow, model coordination, CDE management and BIM QA/QC processes.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, fabricators and site teams to resolve RFIs, design discrepancies, model issues and site coordination matters.
- Support 4D construction sequencing, site logistics planning and constructability review for complex or high-risk activities.
- Assist with quantity extraction, progress support, as-built BIM and project handover documentation.
- Conduct site coordination and verification to ensure model information reflects actual construction requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 7-8 years of relevant C&S and BIM coordination experience in infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- At least 3 years LTA MRT project C&S and BIM coordination experience
- Strong knowledge of C&S drawings, structural modelling, rebar detailing, shop drawings and construction coordination.
- Proficient in BIM/C&S software such as Revit, Tekla, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM360, BIMTrack or Synchro 4D.
- Familiar with BIM Execution Plan, clash detection, model federation, CDE workflow, QA/QC checks and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, fabricators and site construction teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation and coordination skills.
