BIM Coordinator / 3D Piping Designer – MEP We are looking for a BIM Coordinator / 3D Piping Designer – MEP with 6+ years of experience in BIM, MEP coordination, piping design, or 3D plant design. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Experience with Advance Steel is an added advantage. The role requires a practical understanding of MEP systems, piping, coordination, constructability, fabrication, and site execution not just software operation. Key Responsibilities x Develop accurate 3D MEP and piping models from P&IDs, GA drawings, engineering drawings, specifications, and site information. x Create and maintain Revit MEP models for piping, mechanical systems, equipment, and related services. x Develop Plant 3D piping models based on P&IDs, equipment layouts, and design requirements. x Read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, equipment drawings, piping layouts, and engineering documents. x Model pipes, fittings, valves, equipment, supports, and specialty components with correct specifications. x Ensure proper routing, elevations, clearances, accessibility, and constructability. x Perform model federation, clash detection, and coordination using Navisworks Manage. x Identify and resolve design, coordination, constructability, and installation issues before fabrication or site execution. x Prepare and review layouts, sections, isometrics, spool drawings, and other BIM deliverables as required. x Coordinate MEP models with structural, architectural, electrical, process, and other disciplines. x Update models based on design changes, RFIs, site conditions, field measurements, point clouds, and as-built information. x Support preparation of fabrication and construction ready models. x Manage model revisions and ensure teams are working with the latest approved information. x Work with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and other CDE/project information platforms. x Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide practical solutions to coordination issues. x Support the BIM Manager/Lead in improving BIM standards, workflows, templates, libraries, and coordination processes. Required Skills & Experience x 6+ years of relevant experience in BIM, MEP coordination, piping design, or 3D plant design. x Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Plant 3D. x Good working knowledge of Autodesk Revit / Revit MEP. x Strong experience with Navisworks Manage for coordination and clash detection. x Good knowledge of AutoCAD and 2D drafting. x Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). x Experience with Procore, Newforma, BIM Track, or similar project information and coordination platforms. x Ability to understand and work from P&IDs, GA drawings, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings. x Good understanding of piping systems, fittings, valves, supports, equipment, and MEP services. x Practical understanding of MEP coordination and constructability. x Ability to identify clashes and, more importantly, develop workable solutions to resolve them. BIM & Coordination Knowledge x Multidisciplinary BIM coordination and model federation. x Understanding of LOD/LOI and model development requirements. x BIM standards, naming conventions, model organization, and CDE workflows. x Understanding of ISO 19650 principles is an advantage. x Experience coordinating piping, equipment, structural steel, supports, and other MEP systems. x Ability to understand the difference between design intent and actual fabrication/site requirements. Additional Advantages x Advance Steel experience. x Point cloud and scan-to-BIM workflows. x Experience with laser scanners, total stations, or survey data. x Experience with Trimble, Leica, FARO, or similar technologies. x Fabrication and piping spool workflows. x Experience with steel structures, equipment supports, platforms, and secondary steel. x Knowledge of IFC / Open BIM workflows. x Revit families and shared parameters. x Basic knowledge of Dynamo or Revit API. x Experience in Intel Projects, industrial, Data centre, pharmaceutical, process plant, or large-scale MEP projects. The candidate should be able to look at a model and ask: “Can this actually be fabricated, installed, accessed, maintained, and constructed on site?” You should be comfortable working across engineering, BIM coordination, fabrication, and site execution, with strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
