BIM COORDINATOR
BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities across all disciplines (Architecture, Structure, and MEP). The role ensures model accuracy, clash-free coordination, compliance with project BIM standards, and effective collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models across architecture, structural, and MEP teams
- Lead clash detection and resolution processes using Navisworks and track issue closure
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and applicable standards such as ISO 19650
- Maintain and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) for models, drawings, and documentation
- Review and validate models for accuracy, completeness, and level of development (LOD 300–400)
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve design and interface issues
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings and issue clash reports and coordination logs
- Support the development of shop drawings, coordinated design deliverables, and as-built models
- Ensure proper model federation, naming conventions, and version control practices
- Monitor BIM progress and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
- Assist in developing and improving BIM standards, workflows, and best practices
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related discipline
- 5 to 10 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination
- Experience working on large-scale building or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Experience using CDE platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360
- Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary BIM coordination and workflow
- Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and clash detection processes
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capability
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in large-scale or giga projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is preferred
- Familiarity with 4D and 5D BIM processes is an advantage
- Knowledge of parametric family creation and BIM automation tools is beneficial
- Experience working in design-build environments with consultants and contractors is preferred
- Exposure to infrastructure, public realm, or complex mixed-use developments is advantageous
