Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities for a large-scale hospital construction project.
- Develop and implement the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), BIM standards, workflows and modelling procedures.
- Establish and maintain BIM coordination processes in accordance with project requirements and applicable industry standards.
- Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination between architectural, civil & structural, M&E and specialist trades.
- Manage the development, coordination and maintenance of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review BIM models and ensure compliance with project requirements, modelling standards, Level of Development (LOD) and information requirements.
- Lead clash detection and coordination using Revit, Navisworks and other relevant BIM software.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams to identify and resolve design and construction clashes.
- Monitor BIM deliverables, model submissions and coordination schedules to support the overall project programme.
- Manage and supervise BIM Modellers, Coordinators and other BIM personnel.
- Establish model review and quality-control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of BIM information.
- Coordinate the integration of architectural, C&S, M&E and specialist BIM models.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings and prepare clash reports, coordination reports and action lists.
- Ensure approved design changes, RFIs, technical submissions and site instructions are properly incorporated into BIM models.
- Support construction planning and site teams by providing coordinated BIM information and constructability solutions.
- Develop and maintain construction coordination models, shop drawings and relevant BIM deliverables.
- Coordinate with the design team to identify constructability issues and propose appropriate solutions.
- Support quantity take-off, construction sequencing and other BIM-related project applications where required.
- Manage BIM model revisions and ensure proper document and information control.
- Coordinate the development of as-built BIM models based on approved site records and actual installation conditions.
- Support testing, commissioning, project completion and handover requirements through accurate BIM information.
- Ensure BIM information is properly prepared for project handover and digital asset management requirements.
- Monitor BIM-related risks and implement corrective actions to minimise coordination issues, delays and rework.
- Provide technical guidance and training to BIM team members and project personnel.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and relevant stakeholders on BIM requirements and deliverables.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in BIM, Architecture, Civil & Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant BIM experience in the construction industry, with experience managing BIM activities for major building projects.
- Proven experience as a BIM Manager or in a senior BIM coordination role.
- Experience in hospital, healthcare, institutional or other complex building projects will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
- Good knowledge of multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Experience developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans, BIM standards and coordination workflows.
- Strong understanding of architectural, C&S and M&E coordination requirements.
- Familiarity with Singapore BIM requirements, relevant industry standards and project information management practices.
- Experience managing BIM teams and coordinating multiple consultants and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms and document/model management systems.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, constructability and site coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple BIM deliverables and meet strict project deadlines.
