Role Overview
We are currently hiring experienced BIM Modelers with a strong MEP construction background for full-time, on-site positions in Dubai.
The successful candidates will be responsible for developing, reviewing, coordinating, and updating detailed Building Information Models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role requires strong practical knowledge of MEP installation methods, construction drawings, multidisciplinary coordination, clash resolution, and model-based project delivery.
Candidates must have strong hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit MEP and should be able to work closely with engineers, architects, BIM coordinators, consultants, and site construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and HVAC systems.
- Prepare and update Revit models based on approved design drawings, shop drawings, construction drawings, and project specifications.
- Produce coordinated MEP models in line with project BIM standards and execution requirements.
- Coordinate MEP services with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
- Identify and resolve clashes, spatial conflicts, routing issues, and coordination discrepancies.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support the closure of design and construction-related clashes.
- Generate coordinated drawings, layouts, sections, schedules, quantities, and other model-based outputs.
- Ensure models are accurate, properly structured, and compliant with project naming conventions, LOD requirements, and BIM standards.
- Review consultant and subcontractor models for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
- Support site teams by providing coordinated drawings and model information for installation and execution.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, schematics, and construction documentation.
- Maintain model revisions, documentation, and issue records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to incorporate design changes and site modifications.
- Assist with quality assurance and quality control reviews of BIM models and drawings.
- Support preparation of as-built models and final project handover documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows, templates, families, and modelling standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, authority requirements, project specifications, and GCC construction standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience working as a BIM Modeler, Revit Modeler, MEP Modeler, or BIM Technician on construction projects.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Practical experience modelling HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, electrical, lighting, containment, and related MEP systems.
- Good understanding of MEP construction methods, installation requirements, coordination clearances, and site execution.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, shop, and construction drawings.
- Experience creating coordinated 3D models and extracting accurate 2D drawings from Revit.
- Familiarity with clash detection and model coordination processes.
- Experience using Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination is highly preferred.
- Understanding of BIM standards, Level of Development requirements, model federation, and common data environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy.
- Ability to work under project deadlines and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in Zulu is required.
- Good command of spoken and written English is required.
- Experience working on GCC construction projects will be an advantage.
- Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to Dubai and work on-site.
