Summary
Creates and maintains 3D BIM models for electrical systems in construction projects using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, coordinating with other disciplines and ensuring compliance with codes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical systems using software such as Autodesk Revit.
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, and MEP) to resolve clashes using tools like Navisworks.
- Ensure all models comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Assist engineers and project teams in design development and technical submissions.
- Conduct clash detection and model coordination meetings.
- Update BIM models based on site changes and design revisions.
- Support project delivery by ensuring timely submission of drawings and models.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modelling for electrical works in the construction industry.
- Proficient in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (e.g., power distribution, lighting, ELV systems).
- Familiar with local codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
