Biofoundry Researcher (Pesquisador Pleno – 431986)
To work in the Drug Discovery Group at the Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio)
- Work on the design, implementation, and consolidation of a Biofoundry for the production of molecules of pharmaceutical interest (chemical substances and proteins)
- Plan and develop strategies for the production of biosynthetic products via biotechnological pathways
- Develop complex genetic constructs and perform activities related to the cloning of biosynthetic genes
- Use of automation tools for synthesis, cloning, clonal selection, evaluation of biosynthetic products, and optimization of heterologous strains
- Propose and implement new technological solutions, contributing specialized knowledge to the development of the platform
- Work collaboratively with teams in molecular pharmacology, automation, computing, and other related research areas
- Establish and strengthen interactions with collaborators and national and international research networks
- Prepare technical reports, analyses, presentations, and scientific documentation related to the projects
- Completed postdoctoral studies in Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields
- Solid experience in cloning biosynthetic genes and constructing complex genetic systems
- Experience with automation applied to Biofoundry platforms or biotechnological processes
- Fluent in English
Desirable
- Previous experience on Biofoundries.
- Knowledge of biosynthesis, biocatalysis, and synthetic biology.
- Experience in implementing new technological platforms or scientific infrastructure.
