Bird Control Project Manager

Location: Midlands or South of England
Salary: £30,000 basic + uncapped performance commission
Car Allowance: £450 per month
Mileage: 20p per mile
Holiday: 5 weeks’ annual leave
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required

Eco Environmental has been one of the UK's leading providers of bird control solutions for the construction, rail, commercial and facilities management sectors for over 25 years.

We're looking for a Bird Control Project Manager to join our growing team, covering the Midlands and South of England. Historically, we've looked specifically for candidates with bird-control experience, as this provides a strong technical foundation from day one. However, we're also open to considering someone with a strong pest control or related technical background, the right attitude and the mindset to learn.

For us, getting the right person with the right attitude and mindset is just as important as ticking every box. Much of the technical knowledge and specialist bird-control expertise can be developed with the right training, mentoring and support.

About the Role

As Bird Control Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from initial survey and quotation through to completion.

You'll work closely with customers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to understand requirements, recommend practical solutions and ensure projects are delivered safely, professionally and commercially.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out site surveys and identifying bird-related risks and requirements.
  • Assessing buildings, structures and environments to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Producing recommendations and quotations.
  • Managing projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Coordinating customers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Planning and monitoring project activity, timescales and requirements.
  • Providing technical advice and managing customer expectations.
  • Resolving issues and finding practical solutions.
  • Building strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop existing and new business.
  • Maintaining accurate project and customer records.
  • Supporting the continued commercial growth of the business.

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in the person than a checklist.

You may already have strong experience in bird control or bird proofing, but we would also consider someone from a pest control, construction, facilities, technical or project management background who demonstrates the right potential.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in bird control, pest control or another relevant technical environment.
  • Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Confidence dealing with customers, contractors and stakeholders.
  • A commercially aware and customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to take ownership and work independently.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • The ambition to develop their technical knowledge and career.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Bird-control experience would be advantageous, but it isn't necessarily the deciding factor.

If you have the right attitude, aptitude and transferable experience, we'll provide the training, mentoring and support to help you develop the specialist knowledge required for the role.

Why Join Eco Environmental?

This is an opportunity to join an established specialist business with over 25 years of experience in the industry. You'll receive support from an experienced team, together with the training and development needed to build your knowledge and progress your career.

We want someone who is prepared to learn, take ownership and grow with the business.

What We Offer

  • £30,000 basic salary
  • Uncapped performance commission with OTE around £85k
  • £450 per month car allowance
  • 20p per mile mileage
  • 5 weeks' annual leave
  • Full training and ongoing development
  • Mentoring and support from an experienced team
  • Genuine career development opportunities

Ready for Your Next Step?

If you're an experienced bird-control professional, great.

If you're an experienced pest-control professional with the right attitude, mindset and ambition to learn, we'd also like to hear from you.

We're looking for potential as well as experience.

You don't need to tick every box. You need to be the right person.
