About the Role
We're looking for a creative, organized intern to support our marketing team across social media and email marketing. This is a hands-on opportunity to help tell Blackbird's story, grow our community, and support the campaigns behind our events and membership programming.
Responsibilities
- Support content creation and scheduling across Blackbird's social media channels
- Assist with drafting, scheduling, and reporting on email campaigns in Flodesk, including event promotions and newsletters
- Help capture photo and video content at events for use across social and marketing channels
- Support the marketing team with light market research and tracking campaign performance
- Help maintain brand consistency across marketing materials and templates

Qualifications
- Photography and videography (including editing)
- Strong writing skills and an eye for visual storytelling
- Familiarity with Instagram, Tik Tok and LinkedIn, comfort learning scheduling tools
- Comfortable with, or eager to learn, email marketing platforms such as Flodesk
- Some availability for evening events to help capture content
- Interest in marketing, communications, or brand strategy

Subsidy Role Information
Subsidy roles require students to have an Los Angeles County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):
- Identification (School or State ID)
- Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed)
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name)
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption
- Work Permit (Required for Youth between the ages of 16-17 only)
- The Youth Center (AJCC) WILL BE PAYING YOU for 160 completed hours.
- You will be required to submit Timesheets to your YOUTH CENTER (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.
