Blockchain Engineer at BairesDev
In this role, you'll work on the design, implementation, and optimization of blockchain protocols and distributed systems, operating at the protocol level where deep technical understanding of consensus mechanisms and virtual machine internals is essential. Combining Golang expertise with knowledge of distributed systems and containerized cloud environments, you'll contribute to blockchain infrastructure where correctness and performance directly impact the integrity of decentralized systems. What You'll Do:
- Design, implement, and optimize blockchain protocols and distributed systems.
- Work with EVM/SVM internals to understand and extend virtual machine functionality.
- Build and maintain distributed systems with a focus on consensus mechanisms and protocol correctness.
- Deploy and manage blockchain infrastructure using Docker and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on protocol design and system architecture.
What we are looking for:
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong expertise in blockchain protocols and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Experience with Rust.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and consensus mechanisms.
- Understanding of EVM/SVM internals.
- Experience with containerization and cloud platforms including Docker and AWS.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Layer 2 blockchains.
- Knowledge of cross-chain communication.
- Familiarity with EVM/SVM functionality updates.
- Background in applied cryptography.
- Security best practices in software and blockchain.
- Technical documentation and design specification writing skills.
- Experience with third-party platform integrations.
- Open-source community contributions.
