BMC Engineer
You will contribute to the design and development of the Baseboard Management Controller and Rack Management Controller software stack for next-generation AI server-class systems. Working under guidance from senior engineers, you will support the development and integration of system management features for large-scale datacenter environments. You'll collaborate closely with BMC, firmware, and hardware engineering teams, help develop kernel drivers, system services and APIs, and grow your knowledge of system architecture, hardware interfaces, and OpenBMC components.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of OpenBMC-based solutions for AI server platforms
- Work collaboratively with BMC, firmware, and hardware engineering teams
- Support development of system components such as kernel drivers, system services, and APIs
- Assist in debugging issues, fixing bugs, and improving product quality
- Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and test planning
- Support Agile development processes within the team
- Build knowledge of system architecture, hardware interfaces, and OpenBMC components
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD or equivalent experience in relevant field
- Programming experience in at least two of: C, C++, Rust, Python
- Understanding of Linux fundamentals (distributions, packaging, deployment, system services)
- Basic understanding of embedded or low-level systems development
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and deliver assigned tasks reliably
- Motivation to learn and solve technical problems
- Exposure to embedded Linux environments (e.g., Yocto)
- Awareness of OpenBMC or similar systems
- Basic knowledge of hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, GPIO, etc.)
- Awareness of Redfish or system management concepts
- Interest in datacenter or server systems
