Description
- Study, design, develop, debug and verify OpenBMC firmware on Aspeed BMC SoCs (e.g. AST2600/AST2700), including porting a new hardware platform from a reference design.
- Develop and maintain kernel-level drivers (I2C, CPLD, FPGA mux, PSU, fan, sensors) and DTS device-tree configuration for new hardware bring-up and bus/device topology verification.
- Develop and maintain IPMI/OEM commands, sensor SDR, FRU and SEL functionality, and other BMC management interfaces to meet product and customer requirements.
- Debug and resolve hardware/firmware integration issues such as I2C bus deadlocks, JTAG/CPLD firmware-update reliability, PFR (Platform Firmware Resilience) watchdog/reboot loops, and System LED behavior against HW spec.
- Write and execute unit/integration test plans (e.g. obmc-test) and verify functionality on DUT (Device Under Test) hardware, in-band (KCS) and out-of-band (LAN).
