BMS Software Engineer
Job Overview
Responsible for the software integration of data center integrated monitoring and Building Management Systems (BMS), establishing data links between building infrastructure equipment (chillers, HVAC, power distribution, fire safety, access control, etc.) and upper-level control systems to ensure stable operation, visual monitoring, and automated control of data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for software integration and development between data center BMS and various subsystems (power distribution monitoring, chiller plant group control, UPS, generators, fire alarms, access control security, etc.), completing communication protocol integration and data point list configuration, including but not limited to industrial standard protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, and SNMP.
Participate in control system logic programming and debugging, including PLC/DDC control programs, group control strategies, and linkage logic implementation and optimization, ensuring the reliability of collaborative equipment control.
Responsible for developing and maintaining monitoring interfaces (SCADA/HMI) to achieve visual display of equipment status, alarms, energy consumption, and other data.
Prepare and maintain interface documentation, point lists, and integration test plans, collaborating with third-party vendors to complete equipment integration and joint commissioning.
Participate in on-site commissioning (FAT/SAT), system go-live, and troubleshooting, responding promptly to resolve software and hardware issues during integration.
Continuously optimize system architecture and drive the implementation of intelligent data center operations functions (such as DCIM platform integration, energy efficiency management, and predictive maintenance).
Support the operations team in handling online issues, ensuring 7x24 continuity and stability of critical systems.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related majors, with 3+ years of software integration experience in industrial control systems or BMS; data center project experience is preferred.
Familiar with at least one mainstream BMS/SCADA platform (such as Honeywell, Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure, Johnson Controls Metasys, etc.).
Familiar with industrial communication protocols, such as BACnet, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT, etc., with practical protocol integration and debugging experience.
Proficient in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or C/C++, with the ability to independently complete interface development, data processing, and scripting.
Understanding of data center infrastructure knowledge (HVAC, power distribution, UPS, chillers, etc.) and relevant standards and specifications.
Strong on-site troubleshooting skills, capable of adapting to project site travel and joint commissioning work.
Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work cross-functionally with equipment vendors, civil/electrical teams, and operations teams to advance projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Tier III/IV data center projects.
Familiar with DCIM systems (such as Schneider EcoStruxure IT, Nlyte, etc.).
Hold relevant industry certifications (such as BICSI, CDCP/CDCS).
