BMS Support Engineer
Are you an experienced BMS Support Engineer looking for your next challenge?
We're looking for a BMS Support Engineer to join our South Wales Support Team, providing maintenance, fault finding, repairs and technical support across a range of customer sites throughout the region.
As one of the UK's largest Building Management Systems specialists, BMSI offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of systems, customers and projects while developing your skills within a supportive and experienced team.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to live within a reasonable travelling distance of Cardiff and be comfortable travelling to customer sites across South Wales as part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
What You'll Do
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on Building Management Systems.
Diagnose and resolve faults across a variety of BMS installations.
Undertake small repairs and remedial works.
Conduct site inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently and reliably.
Respond to customer callouts and provide technical support when required.
Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work carried out.
Build strong working relationships with customers and provide excellent service at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience within the Building Management Systems industry.
Strong knowledge of either Trend or Siemens BMS systems is essential.
Experience with Tridium, Schneider or other BMS platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.
Good understanding of mechanical plant and HVAC systems.
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a wider support team.
Full UK driving licence.
PC literate.
Willing to participate in the on-call rota for emergency and breakdown support.
