Bring your clinical experience to a small, multidisciplinary practice where naturalistic teaching, family partnership, and meaningful relationships guide care. Thrive Collaborative is seeking an experienced BCBA to lead individualized services in Aspen and the surrounding areas (Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs).

You will combine clinical leadership with hands-on work: designing programs, developing interventionists, coaching families and educators, and helping clients build skills in the settings where they use them. Our model brings together behavioral science, human development, and trauma-informed care, with respect for each client's identity, strengths, and interests.

What makes this opportunity different

  • A small caseload: Our BCBAs serve an average of 5–7 clients, supporting continuity and individualized care.

  • A defined workweek: 40 total work hours and 25 billable hours per week, with work-from-home options for indirect work and telehealth meetings and sessions as clinically indicated.

  • Access to experienced colleagues: Consult with ABA, speech-language, occupational therapy, and Early Start Denver Model specialists.

  • Learning built into your schedule: In-house CEUs and paid professional development support continued clinical growth.

  • Work rooted in everyday life: Partner with clients, families, and educators across home, school, clinic, community, and telehealth settings.

Your clinical role

  • Develop individualized behavior analytic and naturalistic intervention programs aligned with client and family priorities.

  • Use clinical data and ongoing observation to evaluate progress and adapt treatment.

  • Supervise and coach interventionists through modeling, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving.

  • Coach parents, caregivers, and teachers to embed learning opportunities into everyday routines.

  • Provide direct intervention and model strategies in natural environments.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans, including support for significant challenging behavior, with training provided.

  • Lead client team meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary providers and community partners.

  • Complete clinical documentation and recommendations for funders.

  • Participate in peer review, shared learning, and professional training.

Experience and qualifications

Required

  • Current BCBA certification and a master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of practice as a BCBA, with experience leading clinical programming, supervising interventionists, and coaching caregivers or providers.

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently while seeking and incorporating consultation.

  • Reliable transportation for services across the assigned area.

  • Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, including active participation in intervention and lifting up to 40 pounds where essential to the role.

Especially valuable

  • Experience with natural environment teaching (NET), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), or related naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (NDBIs).

  • Experience supervising interventionists in home or school settings.

  • Experience coordinating care across home, school, and community environments.

Location and schedule

This is a 40-hour-per-week position serving clients across the Roaring Fork Valley (Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood), with the majority of clients in Aspen. Hybrid includes work-from-home options for indirect work, as well as telehealth meetings and sessions as clinically indicated, alongside in-person client services.

We use a block schedule organized around three service blocks between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. Evening sessions are scheduled only for clients who need targeted support during evening routines. The service window describes appointment availability; total work is 40 hours across the week.

Candidates considering relocation should plan housing and commuting around regular services in Aspen and travel across the valley. Nearby communities to explore include Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, and New Castle. Relocation assistance and/or a housing stipend are negotiable.

Mileage between clients is reimbursed at the IRS rate; the usual commute is excluded.

  • Quarterly bonus opportunities contingent on both company and individual billable goals being met.

  • Negotiable relocation assistance and/or housing stipend.

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; dependent-care and medical flexible spending accounts.

  • 401(k) with discretionary employer match.

  • Vacation: Up to 80 hours annually for a 40-hour workweek, beginning the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Vacation balances are capped at 120 hours.

  • Sick leave: Accrues at approximately 1 hour per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours annually, subject to applicable law and carryover rules.

  • Flexible scheduling across the calendar year, including advance scheduling of billable hours where appropriate.

  • Employer-sponsored wellness programs and additional benefit options, including pet insurance, supplemental life insurance, and long-term disability coverage.
