Bobtail Driver
Summary
Drive a tanker truck to safely transport gasoline/diesel between locations while complying with hazmat regulations and maintaining delivery records.
The Bobtail Driver is to deliver gasoline and/or diesel in large quantities while operating a vehicle efficiently and safely while maintaining the company’s standards for excellent customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate bobtail tanker in a safe manner
- Load, transport and deliver gasoline to and from specific locations while obeying all federal, state and local laws related to commercial hazmat transportation
- Provide excellent customer service in a professional and ethical manner
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure proper operation
- Maintain daily driving logs to record miles driven and number of stops
- Accurately complete daily delivery paperwork
- Must abide by all company performance policies including driver safety and delivery accuracy
