Full Time Body Shop Estimator Job Description

Position Information: The full time Body Shop Estimator is responsible for preparing repair estimates for damaged vehicles. This position also communicates with insurance company adjusters, body shop technicians, and customers.

• Perform New Estimate processing
• Submit supplements to insurance companies
• Maintain an effective and efficient parts flow
• Monitor and improve Customer Satisfaction

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer, every day
• Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors
• Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards
• Prepare repair estimates for damaged vehicles in an accurate and timely manner
• Effectively communicate with customers about the status of their vehicle
• Organize work and be able to prioritize daily duties
• Write repair estimates for damaged vehicles
• Utilize software and mobile devices to expediate estimate accuracy and efficiency
• Review estimate with shop co-workers for proper cost and efficient repair plan
• Communicate with insurance company adjusters and respective customers
• Coordinate parts ordering and proper follow up
• Coordinate supplemental work as needed for respective jobs
• Communicate with customers as needed
• Coordinate and schedule approved estimates with team and coworkers
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards
