Bodyshop Technician

Overview of the role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented technician – bus division to join our FAMCO team in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality body shop repairs and maintaining vehicle uptime through efficient and precise denting, painting, and welding work.

You will play a key role in delivering reliable service standards, supporting 24/7 operations, and contributing to customer satisfaction by minimizing rework and ensuring vehicles are returned to service quickly and safely.

What you will do

Carry out denting, painting, and welding activities to ensure high-quality repair work

Perform body shop repairs with minimal rework, following strict quality standards

Use workshop manuals, tools, and best practices to improve productivity and efficiency

Identify potential issues proactively while working on jobs in both workshop and field environments

Ensure all work is conducted in line with safety protocols and company standards

Maintain clear communication with the foreman and service advisors on work progress and repairs completed

Provide support for emergency and roadside assistance when required

Required skills to be successful

Strong hands-on experience in denting, painting, and welding (gas welding, arc welding, etc.)

Solid understanding of body shop repair processes and workshop practices

Ability to read and follow technical manuals and service checklists

Strong focus on quality with minimal repeat issues or complaints

Good communication skills in English (Hindi/Arabic is an advantage)

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

You will be part of the bus division within FAMCO, supporting a high-performing workshop environment focused on delivering reliable and efficient repair services. The team operates in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, especially in time-sensitive situations where vehicle uptime is critical.

What equips you for the role

Trade certificate, diploma, or apprenticeship in automotive/body repair

2–3 years of experience working on buses or commercial vehicles

Proven technical ability to perform denting, painting, and welding independently

Practical knowledge of workshop tools, safety standards, and repair techniques

UAE driving license is an advantage
