The Paint Booth Operator will be responsible for safely operating and overseeing the C02, Flame, Primer, Basecoat, and/or Clearcoat booths in the cleanroom of the Paint Department. Expectations include setting up and maintaining booth parameters, paint guns, and atomizers as directed by the paint process engineer, and daily maintenance of all cleanroom equipment.
RESPONSIBILITES

Previous automotive paint experience is preferred.

Controls paint operation and equipment (including robots)

Monitor and maintain the process parameters, ensuring production standards, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.

Utilize the ‘wet layer inspection’ booths to inspect spray patterns, coverage, and to ensure paint quality.

Analyzes and corrects deviations in such a way that equipment OEE is improved.

Deploys paint standards during the production shift.

Starts and stops the paint line according to the production plan and safety rules.

Checks the quality and conformity of the application process according to quality requirements and procedures

Applies maintenance procedures for robots and all paint equipment (guns, atomizers, jigs…)

Minimizes stops of the paint line process.

Contributes to root cause analysis in the case of paint defects, collaborates with the process team to set up an action plan, and implements corrective actions in a timely manner.

Follows up and optimizes continuously paint consumption (primer, basecoat, clear coat, hardeners, solvents, rinsing solvents…)

May relieve fellow team members for their breaks.

Make all necessary preventive maintenance checks for paint equipment.

Keep equipment clean and dust-free.

Follow standard procedures to ensure tasks are completed correctly.

Perform duties in a safe manner using all required personal protective equipment.

Support safety and quality policy by maintaining a neat and organized work area, encouraging 5S through the cleanliness at the line.

Perform other duties or work in other areas as instructed to balance workloads or meet production needs.
