Work under general supervision of the bowling facility manager who provides assignments either orally or through work orders.
Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using testequipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
Conducts operational checks, visually checking for worn or damaged parts, traces wiring, disassembles, and makes necessary adjustments,repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and reassembles the equipment.
Makes such repairs and adjustments as re-timing cams and gears; measuring and regulating the sweep of rakes; replacing broken or worn pins,rods, brushes, bolts, belts, tension springs; filing contact points; and cleaning and lubricating parts.
