Job Description
Quality Engineer
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and requirements to ensure effective implementation of quality control processes
- Develop and review product and process specifications
- Define requirements for raw materials or semi-finished products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
- Supervise production processes to ensure product quality
- Oversee product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
- Inspect finished products and compare their properties with applicable requirements
- Approve compliant products or reject defective ones
- Maintain accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
- Conduct tests and measurements in the quality laboratory
- Select appropriate inspection equipment to verify products
- Analyze and validate available data
- Handle customer complaints using quality tools
- Gather customer feedback to assess satisfaction with delivered products
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding quality matters
- Conduct quality-related training for employees
- Identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective procedures
- Define corrective and preventive actions as well as improvements
- Co-create and support the Quality, Environmental, and other management systems in place
- Conduct internal audits
- Participate in external audits, including customer audits
- Ensure workplace safety, respond to health and safety risks, and report potential hazards
- Follow applicable standards and procedures
- Promote company values by supporting its mission, vision, and strategy
Requirements
- Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, MSA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, Flow Chart, SPC, GD&T
- Good command of English enabling effective communication
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Goal-oriented, proactive, and well-organized approach to work
- Punctuality and effectiveness in task execution
- Valid Category B driving license
- Willingness to work in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations (BHP training participation required)
Qualifications
- Higher education is preferred, ideally in a technical field
- Certifications or training in quality management systems are an advantage (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949 Internal Auditor)
- Experience in quality-related roles is an asset
- Completion of initial and/or periodic health and safety training in accordance with legal requirements
