Time Allotment: 2:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. or as arranged with building principal
Games: As scheduled through the conference
Completion of contract to be determined by final conference standings
State finals (if applicable) as scheduled through the conference
Requirements and Responsibilities:
The approximate time listed for this activity does not include the contractual time required of all teachers after school.
Plan seasonal schedules that are coordinated with other activities and approved by the principal.
All team rosters must be turned in to the principal for approval prior to public posting and periodic eligibility checks must be performed.
Work to promote the program and its activities by publicizing schedules and game results.
Current sports physicals must be on file with the school office prior to participation in any practices or games. Permission slips must be on file prior to tryouts.
Sponsor’s presence required during all practices.
Sponsor presence required in the locker room with the players at all times.
Sponsor must accompany all team members on the bus and supervise their safe return.
Supervise the use and inventory of equipment and uniforms and the use of school facilities. Recommend purchases or repairs as needed.
Report to the principal on all matters of attendance, accidents, eligibility and discipline problems.
Supervise proper health and safety procedures, including administering emergency first aid.
Remain on duty supervising students until the building is cleared and students have departed.
