BPO & Trade Documentation Consultant - Remote

We are now looking for a Offshore BPO and Trade Documentation Consultant who can perform the following functions :

Responsibilities :

  • Manage a portfolio of clients having varied requirements for document processing relating to Import/Export and other similar businesses

  • Coordinate with various parties on behalf of the client e.g. Freight and forwarding agent/shipping company, Insurance agent, banks etc to procure necessary information and documents for onward submission of documents under Letter of Credit (LC).

  • Counter check all documents like purchase/sale contracts, Bill of lading/AWB, Inspection documents etc, received with reference to the LC

  • Examine any additional documents/certificates requirement in terms of the LC and prepare/arrange for the same

  • Ensure correct submissions to the bank within stipulated time frame

  • Coordinate for any discrepancies that may be raised by the bank and ensure settlement of the same.

  • Maintain tracking sheet of various shipments and the respective timelines to ensure tasks are completed well within deadlines

  • Any ad hoc duties that may be assigned by clients under the BPO portfolio.

Requirements :

  • Relevant qualification in Export Import management or International Trade preferred

  • Relevant work experience of 1-3 years

  • Good working knowledge of UCP600 and other international trade guidelines and practices.

  • Able to work under strict deadlines.

  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Since this is a remote position candidates are expected to possess/have access to the following :

    • Laptop/Computer --> i5 or equivalent processor, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10 or equivalent OS with antivirus software.
    • Internet --> Speed of minimum 50 mbps or above.
    • Power supply --> Uninterrupted.
