BRANCH CHIEF

This position is located in Division of Strategic Technology and Enterprise Portfolio Governance. This job opportunity announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within the agency. The successful candidate will perform the full range of Branch Chief duties. Such duties include but are not limited to: Leads agencywide IT governance activities, including demand intake, requirements collection, portfolio coordination, and facilitation of structured decision-making for IT investments. Oversees planning, scheduling, and execution of governance board operations, including preparation of materials, documentation of decisions, and tracking of actions and follow-ups to ensure accountability. Supports compliance with federal IT requirements by implementing Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) processes, maintaining governance artifacts, and ensuring alignment with federal mandates and audit needs. Coordinates across Enterprise Architecture, Strategic Vendor Management, and with other office divisions to ensure integration of governance processes and clear communication among stakeholders. Manages Branch operations, including resource allocation, priority setting, workforce supervision, performance management, and contractor oversight, including the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) responsibilities. Ensures approved IT initiatives transition effectively to execution by facilitating prioritization, sequencing, scheduling, and monitoring of portfolio performance and reporting.
