The Branch Manager oversees the overall customer service, business development, operational efficiency, and profitability of the branch by driving asset and liability growth, ensuring high customer satisfaction , and maintaining strict compliance with the internal bank policies and regulatory standards.
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
Experience Required
5-7 years
- Experience in banking and financial services, including significant exposure to retail banking, customer relationship management, sales, and branch operations.
- At least 3 years' experience in a Branch Manager role or a comparable leadership position with accountability for business growth, customer experience, operational excellence, and profitability.
- Demonstrated success in driving asset and liability growth, sales performance, portfolio expansion, and revenue generation within a branch or business unit environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, performance management, talent development, and employee engagement.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, regulatory compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and internal control frameworks.
- Experience building and managing relationships with retail, SME, and business banking clients, with a strong track record in business development and customer acquisition.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience managing branch profitability, budgets, costs, and performance metrics.
- Experience in customer-facing banking roles and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service will be an added advantage
