Switchboard is seeking an initiative-driven, dynamic Retail Branch Manager on behalf of our client, a well established regional bank with locations in Colorado Springs. This is a great fit for a working manager who leads by example, knows how to do every job in the branch, and wants to build a high-performing team culture.

Our client is a well established regional bank offering Commercial, Consumer, Retail, Trust, and Financial Advising services, along with online and mobile banking capabilities. They treat their employees well, are privately held, and well respected in the communities they serve.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees all retail service delivery (personal and small business) and daily branch operations, ensuring all bank and regulatory policies and procedures are followed.

  • Drives the branch sales and service process — builds daily and weekly sales plans, sets and tracks staff goals, and leads weekly sales meetings.

  • Coaches and develops direct reports, including career planning and retention, and is a role model of teamwork within the region.

  • Ensures the maximization of customer relationships aligned with the bank's core values; is the "Sales and Service Champion" of the location.

  • Develops and implements teleservicing and prospecting plans — calling on maturing accounts, sales leads, referrals, and new account follow-up.

  • Works as a true working manager: promotes, explains, and sells all retail banking products, maintains a personal portfolio of customers, and performs consumer lending.

  • Authorizes transactions per bank policy and is accountable for the audit integrity, risk management, and security of the branch.

  • Maintains thorough product knowledge and provides ongoing staff training on products, sales, referrals, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of related retail banking experience.

  • Proven management and sales leadership skills, with a track record leading a sales/production team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making ability; comfortable multi-tasking.

  • Ability to build relationships across departments and work with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

  • Proficient computer skills.
