Brand Ambassador – Payments / Crypto Entities
About the Role
We're hiring on behalf of an international fintech group with regulated entities across multiple jurisdictions, looking for a Brand Ambassador who can sit confidently at the intersection of Payments, Compliance, and external financial institutions — banks, EMIs, PSPs, and payment providers.
This isn't a sales role, and it isn't a Compliance or MLRO position. You're the person who makes sure the company and its financial partners genuinely understand each other — explaining complex business activity clearly to banks, bringing their concerns back internally, and coordinating a response until the matter is actually resolved.
When things get difficult, you're the one who can stand in front of a financial institution and represent the company professionally, while working closely with MLRO, Compliance, Payments, and Risk to make sure the substance behind you is solid.
What You'll Do
Onboarding
Act as the primary contact with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and financial institutions during onboarding and due diligence
Clearly explain the business model, products, customer base, payment flows, and operational structure
Translate onboarding requirements into clear internal asks for Payments, Compliance, and MLRO
Coordinate KYB/KYC/AML responses and make sure documentation lands accurately and on time
Flag unclear or excessive requirements internally before responding — you push back when it makes sense to
Ongoing Relationship Management
Maintain regular, professional contact with banking and financial partners — not just when there's a problem
Build real working relationships with account managers, compliance officers, and risk teams
Stay attuned to each partner's expectations and read between the lines when something shifts
Early Risk Detection
Act as an early-warning system — spotting changes in tone, unusual reviews, or extra scrutiny before they become formal escalations
Escalate concerns immediately to MLRO, Compliance, Payments, and management
Help internal teams understand exactly what the financial institution is worried about, and follow through until it's genuinely resolved
Compliance Reviews & Elevated Risk
Represent the brand during enhanced due diligence and elevated reviews
Coordinate with MLRO and Compliance to keep responses accurate and consistent
Present the company's position professionally while taking legitimate concerns seriously — without overstepping your authority
Transaction Issues & Escalations
Handle concerns around payment recalls, suspicious transactions, or customer complaints
Coordinate with Payments, Risk, and MLRO to get the facts straight before responding
Spot recurring patterns and escalate material issues before they threaten the relationship
Internal Coordination
You'll work closely with MLRO & Compliance, Payments, Risk, Management, and occasionally Operations/Marketing — making sure information flows both ways: requirements and warnings coming in from financial institutions, and context, documentation, and remediation going back out.
What Success Looks Like
Success here isn't just "accounts opened." It's:
Efficient onboarding with clear, consistent communication
Internal teams understanding external requirements before they become problems
Banking issues caught early — not after an account gets restricted
Long-term, stable relationships where partners genuinely trust the company
Who You Are
A strong, confident communicator who's comfortable speaking directly with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and compliance professionals
Fluent in English, written and verbal — confident enough to explain complex business activity to banks and regulators without language ever being a limitation
Able to explain complex business activity clearly, without oversimplifying or overpromising
Commercially minded, but you understand why compliance and risk matter just as much
Highly organized — you can manage several financial relationships at once without dropping details
Naturally proactive — you spot problems before they turn into escalations
Comfortable with difficult conversations, and able to defend the company's position professionally
Able to absorb technical, operational, and compliance information without needing to be the expert in every area
Trustworthy and discreet — you'll be handling sensitive financial information regularly
Capable of pulling several internal departments together behind one external response
Experience
Valuable background includes: banking or financial institution relationship management, PSP/EMI environments, fintech or crypto businesses, KYB/KYC onboarding, AML/compliance, merchant acquiring, or corporate/correspondent banking.
You don't need direct experience in all of these — strong communication, commercial judgment, ownership, and the ability to quickly learn complex financial businesses matter just as much.
If this sounds like you — if you're the kind of person who takes ownership, spots problems early, and wants real influence over how this function is built — we'd love to hear from you. Apply with your CV and a few lines on why this role fits.
