Brand and Communication Senior Manager
To lead HungerStation’s top-of-the-funnel brand strategy, holistic in-app visual identity, and end-to-end media planning and execution, driving top-of-mind awareness and robust brand health.
Key Accountability Areas and Activities:
Brand Strategy & Governance:
- Lead the proactive development of the holistic brand experience, seasonal direction, and identity governance across all customer touchpoints.
- Oversee the app's overall look and feel, ensuring seamless transformation during key seasonal moments (e.g., Ramadan splash screens, app themes, and tiles).
- Ensure consistent alignment with the Product team so that no new feature (e.g., HRewards) is launched without a defined identity and clear usage guidelines.
- Align brand priorities with Food Marketing, QC Marketing, and other functions to ensure campaigns collectively strengthen a consistent HungerStation brand.
Media Planning & Execution:
- Translate campaign goals into clear media objectives, KPIs, targeting strategies, and channel roles tailored to specific audience conversion journeys.
- Ensure rigorous campaign tracking requirements, including deep links, attribution frameworks, and naming conventions, are properly established for accurate evaluation.
- Evaluate the overall media mix to identify relevant placement opportunities, challenging agency recommendations to ensure efficiency and clear rationale.
- Build stronger media best practices across the team, establishing campaign setup standards, tracking checklists, and performance benchmarks.
Performance Monitoring & Analytics:
- Monitor key brand-health indicators, including top-of-mind awareness (TOM), consideration, brand preference, sentiment, and share of voice.
- Monitor campaign performance and budget run rates closely to identify underspending, overspending, or unusual spikes, taking immediate corrective action.
- Analyze campaign results beyond topline metrics, translating findings into actionable optimization recommendations and future communication strategies.
Agency Management:
- Manage relationships with media agencies assertively to maintain execution quality, resolve issues quickly, and ensure campaigns are launched accurately and on time.
- Identify clear execution processes to reduce split ownership and avoid long back-and-forth delays during campaign setups.
Strategy & Planning:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Division’s OKRs, while ensuring alignment with other Functions' heads.
- Make critical decisions that support the Division's strategic and tactical direction.
- Establish the plans for the respective functions/teams and provide inputs that support the Division’s goals and objectives.
- Measure and track relevant OKRs and metrics to ensure the achievement of goals and take corrective actions when necessary.
Governance and Resilience:
- Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and processes for the daily work to be carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices to enhance effectiveness.

People Management:
- Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate direct reports, and provide regular feedback on performance.
- Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talents for the function.
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow.
- Provide opportunities for team members to suggest, participate in, and contribute to improvement, innovation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Budget Management:
- Manage and own the budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process.
- Ensure effective utilization of the function's budget, and report accurately on progress and challenges.
- Investigate and propose implementing strategies that result in a positive financial impact for HS.
- 8 -10 years of relevant experience in brand management, integrated marketing, and media planning.
- Strong understanding of media budget splits, deep-linking, attribution modeling, and full-funnel activation strategies.
- Proven experience in tracking and optimizing brand health metrics (TOM, BP, BL, Brand Recall).
- Demonstrated ability in assertive agency management and improving execution efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field is required.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
