Your responsibilities will be:

  • Take full responsibility for the assigned brands and their products portfolio by driving the brand and commercial strategy implementation, performance tracking, and corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure all internal and external stakeholders clearly understand the strategy, commercial plans, and execution steps, securing alignment and commitment.
  • Maintain open and effective communication, keeping stakeholders informed about product portfolio performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present business reports (sales, inventory health, distribution, in-store execution, brand performance, category performance, progress against budget, year-over-year comparisons, etc.) and ad-hoc reports requested by stakeholders.
  • Understand commercial challenges across different regions and work with cross-functional teams to improve sales, operations, in-store implementation, marketing, trade marketing, pricing, logistics, and overall performance.
  • Guide the commercial team to execute portfolio plans, track KPIs, and address deviations, focusing on distribution growth, meeting sales targets by customer, and ensuring disciplined use of promotional, trade, and marketing resources.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with business partners and internal stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Secure and implement commercial and distribution plans for new launches, ensuring full execution of promotional support across regions within the first 3–6 months.
  • Operate with a project manager’s discipline (process-driven, accountable) and a marketer’s mindset (creative, brand-focused) to ensure execution aligns with brand guidelines and strategic vision.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, commercial programs, innovations, and in-store execution to anticipate market shifts and maintain competitiveness.
  • Lead the Annual Commercial Planning & Budgeting process by aligning manufacturer expectations with Mexilink’s capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to strengthen partnerships, drive sales growth, expand distribution, and enhance brand presence across markets.
  • Guide and coordinate multi-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of commercial plans and fulfillment of agreements with commercial partners.
  • Partner with Sales and Pricing teams to design profitable, competitive pricing models that align with financial goals across markets.
  • Ensure the portfolio meets financial targets and contributes to MXL’s overall business objectives.
  • Work with the Insights and Analytics team to request data from syndicated and proprietary sources (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, US Census) and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Drive innovation plans with business partners by setting sales and profitability goals, coordinating with the MXL’s Business and Product Development and Sales teams, for effective launch and post-launch performance.
