In the role of Bridge EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to\:
- Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs
- Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete,), box culvert, sign structures, retaining walls and interchange design for highway projects
- Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, and develop structural details using specialized software
- Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
- Develop structural details using basic structural design and analysis software.
- Participate in bridge inspection, perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
- Experience in bridge/structural design including deep foundation design and prestressed concrete design
- Knowledge of Projectwise, BGS, BridgelinkFamiliarity with TxDOT bridge design manuals, guidance, bridge standards, preferred practices and software.
- Experience using Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, Projectwise, MathCAD, Bluebeam
- Familiarity with engineering software packages such as\: BGS, SPColumn, BridgeLink
