Job Summary:
Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced
Application Developer to support full life cycle application development on
various platforms for a state agency to enhance the quality of life for
citizens. Developers will be building and maintaining systems that provide
temporary assistance to eligible citizens. The hardware and software platforms
include but are not limited to IBM, UNISYS mainframe, Microsoft Windows client
servers, and SUN/UNIX. This team will enhance and maintain applications
utilized throughout the agency enabling the delivery of timely services.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
State agency
has an increased demand for full lifecycle application development across
multiple computer platforms. This includes various client eligibility and
recertification systems, employment and work engagement services, claims
systems, and other critical programs. These applications require periodic
refinements and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
Duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations
using IBM middleware technologies (IIB/ACE, DataPower, and MQ).
- Develop modules using IIB/ACE Toolkit and
create/validate WSDL and JSON.
- Build APIs to facilitate data exchange between
systems, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency by establishing a
backend system of records.
- Create message flows to transform XML messages
to JSON and JSON to XML using Message Sets/Static Libraries.
- Test, deploy, and troubleshoot integrations to
ensure functionality and reliability.
- Design and implement web services in IIB/ACE
to support SOA-based services using SOAP nodes and HTTP nodes (HTTP Input,
HTTP Request, HTTP Reply).
- Implement asynchronous HTTP calls with HTTP
Asynchronous Request and Response nodes.
- Work with MQ Nodes (MQ Input, MQ GET, MQ
Reply) to receive input and send output to target applications.
- Develop SOA, EAI, Web Service, and
workflow-based solutions for optimized response times.
- Implement a queue-based guaranteed delivery
and retry mechanism to handle exceptions from backend systems.
- Create Message Sets based on various message
formats.
- Work with File Nodes (File Input and File
Output) to process file-based messages and store output files.
- Develop message flows for updating and
retrieving data from Oracle PL/SQL databases
Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications/Experience:
· Minimum 4 years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC), including middleware technologies.
· Minimum 4 years of experience leading teams in a large application
environment.
· Minimum 4 years of experience in Java/JEE development.
· Minimum 4 years of experience with RESTful services, SOAP services,
WSDL, XML, XSD, XSLT, and XPath.
· Minimum 4 years of experience working with MQ Queues, channels, and MQ
attributes.
· Minimum 4 years of experience managing SSL certificates, including
public and private keys.
· Minimum 4 years of experience with Atlassian Jira, Atlassian
Confluence, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ
Explorer, and Oracle SQL Developer.
· Minimum 4 years of experience with IBM’s Java-based Extended Structured
Query Language (ESQL) and IBM DataPower.
· Minimum 4 years of experience with IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM
Operational Decision Manager (OBDM), and other integration technologies.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to
explain technical concepts to business leaders and translate business needs to
IT teams.
· Strong understanding of current and emerging middleware technologies
and best practices.
· Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, planning, and execution
skills.
· Proven ability to build partnerships with stakeholders across the IT
organization.
· Adept in object-oriented programming methodologies.
· Proficiency in development tools such as IBM Integration Toolkit, IBM
MQ Explorer, and Oracle SQL Developer.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related
field.
