Compensation range: PHP 90,000 - PHP 120,000

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9:00AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Our client specializes in supporting self-employed borrowers through low-doc lending solutions. With extensive experience in non-standard and complex loan scenarios, our client has developed deep expertise in this niche, allowing them to provide tailored, high-quality guidance to clients with unique financial situations.


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Broker Assistant / Mortgage Sales Coordinator to join a growing Australian mortgage brokerage. This is not a traditional administrative support role. We are looking for a confident, proactive professional who can effectively engage with clients, manage loan pipelines, and help drive mortgage applications through to submission.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within an Australian mortgage brokerage and possess excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for building rapport with borrowers, following up on outstanding requirements, and ensuring applications progress efficiently through the lending process.

This role is best suited to someone with a sales mindset who enjoys speaking with clients, controlling conversations, and taking ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact prospective and existing clients to obtain outstanding loan documentation.
  • Follow up with borrowers via phone, email, and SMS to ensure applications continue progressing.
  • Build relationships with clients and guide them through the mortgage application process.
  • Confidently communicate with self-employed borrowers and clients with complex lending scenarios.
  • Monitor and manage active loan pipelines to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding application status and outstanding requirements.
  • Prepare and send professional, concise, and accurate client correspondence.
  • Update and maintain client records within Broker Engine and other brokerage systems.
  • Support brokers by ensuring files are complete and ready for submission.
  • Coordinate with lenders, brokers, and the credit team throughout the loan process.

Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years of experience working within an Australian mortgage brokerage preferably in a sales focussed environment.
    • Strong experience using Broker Engine.
    • Proven experience in broker support, sales, mortgage processing, loan coordination, or client relationship management.
    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
    • Strong phone presence with the ability to build rapport and influence outcomes.
    • Experience following up clients for documentation and progressing mortgage applications.
    • Ability to manage multiple active files and competing priorities.
    • High attention to detail while maintaining a strong customer service focus.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to write coherent and succinct emails to the clients in English

  • This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

It is a full-time, dedicated role, so you will be expected to work exclusively with our client for the duration of the engagement. A reference check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
