Budget Analyst

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Meade, MD.

Serve as Budget Analyst in the USCYBERCOM J83 Comptroller Division.

Monitor execution of current year budget, activities and quarterly reporting requirements.

Reconcile the appropriations control ledgers with the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) Funds Distribution Systems and Division end of month reports to ensure their accuracy.

Develop a consolidated budget that reflects the balanced, multi-year funding needs of USCYBERCOM.

Analyze policies, guidance, and reports to understand their meaning and impact to the major subordinate command's budget planning and execution.

Maintain continuous contacts with funding managers for the purpose of advising on the service cyber component’s changing funding status, the known requirements for supplemental funds, and the timely release of funds.

Participate in the submission of budgetary documentation and assures items of interest are presented to ensure senior officials are cognizant of the impact within the Region.
