Budget Analyst
This position is part of the Selective Service System (SSS), Resources Directorate, Budget Office. The incumbent will be responsible for the full range of administrative and analytical duties associated with the formulation, justification, presentation, execution and review of the agency's appropriated and revolving budgets.
Provides advice and recommendation to Headquarters and field office program managers on the formulation, justification, presentation and execution of the SSS budget.
Develops budget estimates for assigned programs, including multi-year funding, personnel, facilities, equipment, security, logistics, transportation, and mail requirements supporting Agency operations.
Reviews, analyzes, edits, and consolidates budget submissions from Headquarters and field offices, ensuring technical accuracy, proper format, mathematical accuracy, adequate justification, and compliance with budget policies and guidelines.
US Citizenship is required. Suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation. Must obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation through Continuous Vetting throughout the duration of employment. All employees are required to be enrolled in Continuous Vetting, which authorizes government agencies to receive notifications of criminal activity and financial monitoring on individuals who hold low risk, public trust, or national security positions. Direct Deposit of pay is required. Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt. Status candidates must meet time-in-grade (see Qualifications).
