Budget Officer

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Budget Officer, you will: Serve as the supervisor and technical authority responsible for the planning, justification, formulation and execution of financial operations of ACYF's program and administrative budgets with responsibility for making allowances and sub-allowances to ACF central and regional offices for the effective operation of ACYF programs. Serve as the primary expert and advisor to the Executive Officer and Commissioner on all aspects of budget planning, presentation, formulation and execution issues. Plan, gather, assemble and provide response to budget requests required by ACF, DHHS, OMB and Congress; review, edit and consolidate annual and multiyear budget estimates, hearing testimonies and oversee the preparation of budget narratives and justifications for programs. Supervise the formulation of short- and long-range program plans and objectives, and conduct fiscal studies and program analyses to coordinate and synthesize financial and program data to determine if achievements are being met in comparison with the agency goals. Review, analyze and revise budget estimates, requests for allowance, allotments, obligating documents and requests for reprogramming of funds.
