Building Automation System Programmer
Summary
A field-based controls programmer who installs, programs, troubleshoots, and commissions building automation systems for HVAC environmental-comfort systems at customer sites in Houston. Day-to-day work involves writing control software and front-end graphics, start-up and commissioning, calibration/repairs, and applying AC and hydronic control theory.

Selected candidate will be responsible for installation, diagnoses, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of environmental-comfort systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, hydronic theory, and modern control techniques. Responsibilities
- Utilize a laptop computer, a variety of hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and programming HVAC equipment.
- Create software programs and animated front end graphics.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair instruments and products at a customer's location.
- Perform service repairs, modifications, adjustments, and calibration on controls system as needed or requested by customers.
- Perform checkout, start up, and commissioning on projects.
- Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
- Install and service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, miscalibration, malfunction, and drift).
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- Support HVAC Field Technicians by providing technical assistance and offering guidance.
- Provide training and technical support to customers.
