Building Construction Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Maintain the workplace in compliance with all safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Verify that tools, equipment, and methods used by workers are adequate, properly maintained, and safe for job execution.
• Lead EHS communications and directly supervise the safety of workers and subcontractors.
• Issue clear EHS instructions to workers and subcontractors to promote safe work practices.
• Ensure each worker has the necessary knowledge, tools, equipment, PPE, and guidance to perform tasks safely.
• Conduct daily inspections of work areas to enforce safety standards and demonstrate commitment to safe work conduct.
• Identify and promptly address any safety issues or items requiring correction.
• Ensure valid Permit-to-Work documents are clearly posted at high-risk construction sites and remain posted until expiry or revocation.
• Attend and actively participate in toolbox meetings to discuss safety matters.
• Participate in formal EHS inspections, patrols, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Report to the site engineer on the overall environmental, health, and safety status of all subcontractors and workers under supervision.
• Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to undertake night shift duties as required.
• Willingness to undertake night shift duty.
