Building Construction Supervisor
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure work is carried out according to construction drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Coordinate subcontractors, workers, and suppliers to ensure smooth work progress and timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct site inspections to check workmanship quality, verify measurements, and identify defects or unsafe practices.
- Ensure all safety rules are followed and support Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements in compliance with MOM and project regulations.
- Assist in preparing site reports, progress updates, material checklists, and daily work documentation.
- Monitor material delivery, storage, and usage to avoid delays or wastage.
- Report site issues, technical problems, and irregularities to the Construction Manager / Project Manager.
- Attend daily toolbox meetings, coordination meetings, and follow-up actions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on site matters when required.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the work area at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field.
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in building construction or site supervision.
- Able to read construction drawings and understand technical specifications.
- Familiar with basic site safety procedures and MOM/BCA construction regulations.
- Good communication skills and able to coordinate workers of different nationalities.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors under site conditions.
- Willing to work extended hours or weekends when required by project schedule.
- Candidates with safety certifications (CSOC, BCSS) will have an advantage.
