Building Maintenance Officer

£27,000.00 - £33,000.00 Per year
We've got an opportunity for a Building Maintenance Officer to join our Keyworker team in Reading.
Our specialist keyworker housing offers self-catering accommodation ranging from shared flats for single residents to apartments and houses for couples or families. We provide flexible stays from one night to a year or more.
This role is part-time (25 hours per week), usually worked 10.00am – 3.00pm over 5 days Monday to Friday. We can be flexible with hours.
The Role
As a Building Maintenance Officer you’ll be responsible for basic repairs across our keyworker accommodation in Reading.
You’ll need general handyperson experience, basic plumbing and carpentry skills and the ability to understand ‘how it works’!
A good level of IT is also essential, as you’ll be checking jobs, answering emails and using out internal system to log and describe repairs.
The starting salary is £18,243 - £22,297 (£27,000 - £33,000 full time equivalent).
What you'll need
- Experience in general repairs
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- To be approachable, reliable and flexible
- The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with our customers
- A full driving licence, as you will be travelling between sites
A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
