Building Maintenance Worker (Casual) (9210)

Schedule/Hours: As-Needed Schedule

This position is responsible for:

Performs routine building, vehicle, and equipment maintenance; groundskeeping; minor plumbing and carpentry repairs; and transports materials and supplies between Corps and Thrift Store locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine building maintenance, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs.
• Maintain Salvation Army vehicles through preventive maintenance and fluid checks.
• Maintain facility grounds, including debris removal, landscaping upkeep, and general cleaning.
• Transport maintenance materials and equipment; assist with facility setup, furniture moving, and site security.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Reliable attendance and ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driving ability for local and extended travel, including occasional overnight trips.
