Building Mechanical Engineer

1. Reviewing mechanical drawings and technical specifications, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), water supply, plumbing/sewage, and fire protection systems.

2. Supervising on-site execution and ensuring that the work complies with approved drawings, quality and safety requirements, and the Saudi Building Code.

3. Preparing and reviewing shop drawings, material and equipment submittals, and coordinating with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to resolve any conflicts.

4. Conducting quantity take-offs, monitoring procurement, overseeing contractors and progress rates, preparing technical reports, and reviewing payment applications (invoices) for mechanical works.

5. Overseeing inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover processes, as well as reviewing "as-built" drawings and operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience in the execution and supervision of mechanical works for building projects.

- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is preferred.

- Knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).

- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills; proficiency in technical English.

Required Professional Accreditation: Valid professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
