Burke - Truck Driver / Distribution Utility

Class A CDL Truck Driver/Distribution Utility

2nd shift - Monday to Friday 2:45pm to 11:15pm, flexible schedule, weekends as needed.

Pay Rate: $27.45 + $1.00 shift differential

Primary Duties:
This position primarily supports warehouse and shipping operations within the Distribution department. Daily responsibilities include:

• Trailer checks
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Receiving finished goods and raw materials.
• Staging and storing pallets in warehouse rack locations.
• Wrapping pallets for shipment.
• Housekeeping and sanitation of dock and warehouse areas.
• Working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
• Completing required shipping and receiving documentation.

This position also serves as a backup Class A CDL driver and will operate company tractors and trailers as needed to support business demands. Driving responsibilities include moving trailers between production facilities and warehouses, spotting trailers at dock doors, transporting inventory, and assisting with other transportation-related tasks when required.

This position spends most scheduled work hours performing warehouse, shipping, receiving, and dock support functions. CDL driving duties are performed as business needs require.

The individual will work with information deemed confidential and/or proprietary to the company. Occasional preventive maintenance and light maintenance may be required on tractors and trailers.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Class A Iowa Commercial driver’s license, a current D.O.T. physical card, and commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• 18 years or older.
• 6 months of work history.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The individual must be able to work in both hot and cold environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
